Join us for our back to school skate party on Friday, Aug. 27 from noon- 4pm at Gr8 Sk8 (Great Skate) in Phenix City. We're having an 80's theme costume contest for students and parents! Dig through your closets and tease your bangs! It's gonna be a blast from the past! Prizes and lots of info about activities for the new school year.

The skate center is located at 1027 280 Bypass, Phenix City. It is right behind the Big Lots shopping center. If you are coming by way of the 80 Bypass from Columbus, take a left at the end of the bypass then go through the intersection of 280 and 80. Big Lots will be on your right, and the Skate Center is behind it, right next door to Goodwill

FREEDOM HOMESCHOOLERS

Freedom Homeschoolers was created in 2005 to support homeschooling families in the Phenix City, AL / Columbus, GA area regardless of religious affiliation. Support for each family is offered through group activities, co-ops, field trips, or perhaps just a chance to sit and chat with other homeschooling families.  Family membership is very affordable at just $20 for the school year. Please note that membership with Freedom Homeschoolers is not the same as enrollment at Golden Acres Christian School (GACS). The Eagle’s Wing Yearbook

IS FOR EVERYONE; NOT JUST FOR OLDER STUDENTS!

The Eagle’s Wing is designed & created for all home school families in Columbus and the surrounding areas.

CLASS 2011: If you will be graduating this school year, please e-mail me so that we can get you the info for a page in the yearbook.

You are invited to send in candid photos throughout the year.

Photos of family, friends, field trips, vacations, holidays, special events, home schooling, Boy Scouts, Keepers/Stepping Stones, AWANA, Showcase, celebrations, pets, performing arts, etc.

 

We like film photos but digital photos printed  as photos will work.

For best quality digital prints, have them exposed onto Light Sensitive Paper or Laser Prints.  

(Kinko’s has an excellent quality machine & an excellent Laser Color Copier – use gloss paper) Home printed photos have an inferior quality look, especially after the staff sorts, stacks & shuffles them.

Final book quality looks dull after it goes down another generation at the printers.

 

This year, you will also be able to submit digital images online.  Contact Carolyn Dalafave at eagleswingyb@knology.net to obtain the web address and username to submit your pics.

  

You may start sending in photos NOW; March 15 is the deadline for sending in candid photos.  Do not write on the backs of photos.  Do label them with post-it notes stuck to the back.

We save space for special year-end events that happen in May, such as Graduation, Recitals, Showcase.

 

PDA (Public Display of Affection) ads may be purchased to congratulate your student for a year well done, for other achievements, or just to say something special.  See any yearbook staff member to place an order.

 

The cost of the yearbook is only $17.50 it you order by December 31st.  After that, they are $25 until May 1st.
